This proposal is the first comprehensive renewal plan for the Sydney Terminal Building in its history. Working for Transport for NSW, we developed a strategic retail and visitor-experience framework that carefully respects the building’s heritage fabric while reimagining it as Australia’s principal arrival experience.
The vision reframes the terminal as a Sydney-first cultural gateway that introduces international visitors to Australian hospitality, design, food and lifestyle from the moment they arrive. By balancing rigorous heritage conservation with contemporary activation, the renewal seeks to create a commercially sustainable, globally competitive gateway that reflects the character, confidence and creativity of Sydney.
