Indi Sydney is a landmark Build to Rent development in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, located at 298 Pitt Street above the southern entrance to Gadigal Metro Station. Designed by Bates Smart, the 39 storey tower represents Sydney CBD’s first purpose built Build to Rent project, introducing a new model of high density living shaped around amenity, connectivity and long term rental housing.
Retail Strategy Group was first engaged during the Grocon bid phase and continued its role as the site transitioned to Oxford Properties and Investa. Working closely with Bates Smart, our focus was on the back of house master planning, building servicing, kitchen infrastructure and movement systems required to support future food, hospitality and resident amenity uses.
Our work helped resolve the complex servicing requirements of a constrained CBD over station development. The result is a carefully planned operational framework that supports the building’s amenity and resident experience, ensuring the service infrastructure can function seamlessly within one of Sydney’s most technically complex urban sites.
