1 Denison

1 Denison is a premium grade commercial tower in the heart of North Sydney. Delivered by Winten Property Group and designed by Bates Smart, the 60,000m2 development redefined the North Sydney skyline and, at the time of completion, was Sydney’s tallest and most sustainable office tower outside the CBD. Anchored by Channel Nine’s headquarters and positioned directly opposite Victoria Cross Metro Station, the project establishes a prominent workplace address within one of Sydney’s most significant emerging transport and commercial precincts.

Working with Bates Smart, we developed the retail vision and integrated the master plan into the tower above. and integrated with the retail vision for the ground plane and its integration with the commercial tower above. The strategy introduced a hospitality-led precinct designed to activate the base of the building and create a vibrant destination supporting both workplace activity and the broader North Sydney community.

As the project progressed through delivery, we designed a unique retail experience and worked with industry-leading operators to bring the precinct to life. This included partnering with The Grounds of Alexandria and other hospitality operators to establish a distinctive dining environment that complements the building’s premium workplace offer while contributing to the evolving character of North Sydney as a commercial and lifestyle destination.
