Commercial Structure

Green at Dickson is a mixed use precinct in the heart of Canberra’s inner north, transforming a prominent site into a vibrant new neighbourhood destination. Designed by Stewart Architecture and developed as a series of residential and commercial buildings organised around landscaped public spaces, the project introduces a contemporary urban village that strengthens the character and vitality of the Dickson town centre.

At the centre of the precinct is an activated ground plane where cafés, dining and local retail spill into public spaces and pedestrian connections. The design creates a fine grain streetscape that encourages movement through the site while supporting everyday neighbourhood life and strengthening Dickson’s reputation as one of Canberra’s most diverse and energetic food districts.

Working with the project team, we developed the retail vision and master plan for the precinct, shaping how hospitality and local retail integrate with the architecture and public realm. The strategy established a curated mix of dining, convenience and neighbourhood services designed to complement the surrounding community while creating a lively destination within Canberra’s inner north.
