110 George Street in Parramatta is a major mixed use project by RF Corval, designed by Hassell, within one of Western Sydney’s fastest growing city centres. Positioned between George and Phillip Streets, the project brings together build-to-rent living, commercial space, childcare and approximately 1,400m2 of retail within a landscaped public realm.

Working with RF Corval and Hassell, our role was to develop the retail vision for the precinct. The strategy focused on creating a village style ground floor shaped around daily life in Parramatta, with a boutique providore, cafés, bakery, casual dining, wine bar, flagship restaurants, lifestyle boutiques and services.

The plan was built around how people would use the precinct from morning to night. Coffee and fresh food from early morning, lunch for workers and residents through the day, childcare drop off, laneway dining, drinks after work and restaurants that give locals somewhere to return to in the evening.

110 George has the opportunity to add a more sophisticated layer to Parramatta’s food and retail scene, while still feeling local, open and useful. The retail vision supports a precinct that is active, generous and connected to the future of Parramatta as a major centre for business, culture and city life.
