600 Collins Street is a major commercial development located within Melbourne’s CBD, positioned along one of the city’s primary commercial corridors. Owned by Hines and developed in collaboration with Wilkinson Eyre and Architectus, the project forms part of the next wave of office development within the western CBD, contributing to the ongoing evolution of the precinct as a high quality workplace and lifestyle destination.

Working closely with the architects, we helped shape the vision for the ground floor retail, ensuring it was integrated with the building’s architectural intent and responsive to the surrounding streets. The strategy focused on creating a strong public interface along Collins Street while supporting a mix of uses that contribute to daily activation and amenity.

Our role also involved master planning a new laneway connection through the site, designed to enhance permeability and strengthen pedestrian movement within the precinct. This approach supports a more connected urban experience, where retail and public realm work together to reinforce the site’s role within Melbourne’s established laneway network as the project progresses through delivery.
