Compass Centre Bankstown is a major mixed use redevelopment located in the heart of Bankstown’s evolving city centre. Developed by Barings Real Estate in partnership with Aware Super and designed by PTW Architects, the project transforms a prominent CBD site opposite Bankstown Station and the future Sydney Metro into a new residential, hotel and lifestyle destination.

The development introduces a series of high rise buildings organised around a five storey mixed use podium. Two residential towers delivering more than 300 apartments sit alongside a 169 room hotel, while the podium accommodates a mix of retail, hospitality and everyday services that activate the public realm and strengthen connections to surrounding streets and civic spaces.

A supermarket, gym, childcare centre, medical services and hospitality venues combine to establish a lively neighbourhood hub, supported by through site pedestrian connections linking The Mall, North Terrace and nearby public spaces including Paul Keating Park and the future metro station.

We led the development of the retail vision and master plan for the precinct, shaping the concepts that guide the ground floor and podium environment. The approach ensures hospitality, retail and local services are carefully integrated with the architecture and public domain to create an active and engaging urban destination.
